Through the record label Dot Time Records, Claude Diallo found out about German vibes player Wolfgang Lackerschmid. When Claude Diallo was signed to the label, Wolfgang Lackerschmid was already an artist on the label and had many recordings out, including some recordings he did with the legendary jazz trumpet player and singer, Chet Baker. Claude felt privileged when the record label offered him to invite Wolfgang to a live recording in Augsburg, Germany at the Abraxas Theater. From that concert the album: The Abraxas Sessions Claude Diallo Situation featuring Wolfgang Lackerschmid Volume 1 evolved and since then the two musicians played a tour together, became friends and stayed in touch.
Über das Plattenlabel Dot Time Records wurde Claude Diallo auf den deutschen Vibraphonisten Wolfgang Lackerschmid aufmerksam. Als Claude bei dem Label unter Vertrag genommen wurde, war Wolfgang bereits ein etablierter Künstler des Labels und hatte zahlreiche Aufnahmen veröffentlicht, darunter auch mehrere Einspielungen mit dem legendären Jazztrompeter und Sänger Chet Baker. Claude empfand es als besondere Ehre, als ihm das Label anbot, Wolfgang zu einer Live-Aufnahme ins Abraxas Theater in Augsburg einzuladen. Aus diesem Konzert entstand das Album The Abraxas Sessions – Claude Diallo Situation featuring Wolfgang Lackerschmid, Volume 1. Anschliessend gingen die beiden Musiker gemeinsam auf Tour, entwickelten eine Freundschaft und sind bis heute miteinander in Kontakt.
