When famous big band leader Dai Kimoto called Claude Diallo one day to check out a new trombone player that was supposedly only 5 years old and already played with the popular kids band Swing Kids, first, Claude Diallo couldn't believe his eyes and ears. There she was, barely able to hold her instrument and improvising. Sophie Bright lives in London today, where she finishes her master studies in classical trombone and still ventures between the classical and the jazz world. Claude and Sophie toured in Malaysia and played on many different occasions within the past years. In 2026 Claude Diallo Situation with Sophie was invited to Jazz unter Palmen on the famous island Mainau in Germany.
Als der berühmte Bandleader Dai Kimoto Claude Diallo eines Tages anrief und ihn auf eine neue Posaunistin aufmerksam machte, die angeblich erst fünf Jahre alt war und bereits mit der beliebten Kinderband Swing Kids spielte, konnte Claude Diallo zunächst kaum glauben, was er sah und hörte. Da stand sie, kaum in der Lage, ihr Instrument zu halten, und improvisierte bereits voller Selbstverständlichkeit. Sophie Bright lebt heute in London, wo sie ihr Masterstudium in klassischer Posaune abschliesst und sich weiterhin zwischen der klassischen Musik und der Welt des Jazz bewegt. Claude und Sophie waren gemeinsam auf Tournee in Malaysia und sind in den vergangenen Jahren bei zahlreichen Gelegenheiten miteinander aufgetreten. 2026 wurde die Claude Diallo Situation gemeinsam mit Sophie zum renommierten Festival „Jazz unter Palmen“ auf der berühmten Insel Mainau in Deutschland eingeladen.
