Massimo Buonanno - With Musician Friends

Drummer Massimo Buonanno and Claude Diallo go back a long, long way. They met in 2000 in Germany at an international drum exhibition called Drums & Sounds, where both musicians participated in a competition. Buonanno won first place with only 16 years and Diallo won third place with 18 years. They were the only two Swiss participants and afterwards they found out that they would only live 20 min by train from each other. It was the beginning of the band Blizz Rhythmia, which they had founded in the same year. Later, both would go to Berklee College of Music in Boston where they found the original Claude Diallo Situation in 2007. Many international tours through Europe and Asia have followed and until today, the two musicians are like brothers and still play together, whenever there is a possibility.

Der Schlagzeuger Massimo Buonanno und Claude Diallo verbindet eine lange gemeinsame Geschichte. Sie lernten sich im Jahr 2000 in Deutschland bei der internationalen Schlagzeugmesse „Drums & Sounds“ kennen, wo beide Musiker an einem Wettbewerb teilnahmen. Massimo Buonanno gewann im Alter von gerade einmal 16 Jahren den ersten Platz, während Claude Diallo mit 18 Jahren den dritten Platz belegte. Sie waren die einzigen beiden Teilnehmer aus der Schweiz und stellten anschliessend fest, dass sie nur etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Zug voneinander entfernt wohnten. Noch im selben Jahr gründeten sie gemeinsam die Band Blizz Rhythmia. Später studierten beide am Berklee College of Music in Boston, wo sie 2007 die ursprüngliche Claude Diallo Situation ins Leben riefen. Es folgten zahlreiche internationale Tourneen durch Europa und Asien. Bis heute verbindet die beiden Musiker eine enge Freundschaft – sie sind wie Brüder und stehen immer wieder gemeinsam auf der Bühne, wann immer sich die Gelegenheit dazu bietet.
