While living in New York, Claude Diallo met Down Beat Magazine Critics and Audience Polls winner Mark Wade walking around with his bass in the neighborhood L.I.C. (Long Island City) in Queens. Both Mark and Claude lived in that neighborhood two blocks away from each other. They already have played together in New York as a duo, but only in 2024 they would start performing together in Europe, accompanying American jazz singer Lizzie Thomas for her live recording in Augsburg, Germany. Since then the two Dot Time Records artists have continued their musical friendship and played together in New York and Switzerland on a regular basis.
Während seiner Zeit in New York lernte Claude Diallo den mit den DownBeat Magazine Critics’ und Audience Polls ausgezeichneten Bassisten Mark Wade kennen, als dieser mit seinem Kontrabass durch das Viertel L.I.C. (Long Island City) in Queens unterwegs war. Beide lebten in diesem Viertel, nur zwei Blocks voneinander entfernt. Bereits in New York traten sie gemeinsam als Duo auf, doch erst 2024 begannen sie, auch in Europa miteinander zu spielen, als sie die amerikanische Jazzsängerin Lizzie Thomas bei ihrer Live-Aufnahme in Augsburg, Deutschland, begleiteten. Seitdem verbindet die beiden Dot Time Records Artists eine kontinuierliche musikalische Freundschaft, und sie treten regelmässig gemeinsam in New York und der Schweiz auf.
