Laura Schäfer is a young and talented drummer who first caught Claude Diallo’s attention at the age of 16, when she appeared at a jam session organized by the Eastern Switzerland Jazz Collective, founded by Claude Diallo, at Kult-X in Kreuzlingen. Impressed by her playing, Claude invited her two years later to open a jam session with his band. She introduced young bassist Leon Frei to Claude and the three formed a young version of the Claude Diallo Situation and went on to perform at a festival in Athens, as well as at various venues across Germany and Switzerland. Since then, Claude Diallo has continued to perform regularly with Laura Schäfer, who is steadily establishing herself as a distinctive young voice on the European jazz scene.
Laura Schäfer ist eine junge, talentierte Schlagzeugerin die mit 16 Jahren an einer Jam Session vom Ostschweizer Jazz Kollektiv (gegründet von Claude Diallo) in Kreuzlingen im Kult-X erschienen ist. Claude Diallo war begeistert von ihrem Spiel und lud sie zwei Jahre später ein, mit ihm in einer Jam Session Band die Eröffnung zu machen. Nach der Vorstellung von Leon Frei, einem jungen Bassisten, bildeten die drei eine junge Version von Claude Diallo Situation und spielten u.a in Athen an einem Festival und an diversen Orten in Deutschland und der Schweiz. Seither spielt Claude Diallo regelmässig mit Laura Schäfer, die sich in Europa einen Namen macht.
