James Williams and Claude Diallo share a long-standing musical friendship that began during their studies together at Berklee College of Music in Boston between 2004 and 2006. Working with the experienced drummer and musician has had a lasting influence on Claude and remains an important part of his musical journey. Their collaboration began in 2005 with the Claude Diallo Trio, featuring bassist Luques Curtis, even before the formation of Claude Diallo Situation. In 2006, a live recording from St. Gallen was released under the title Live in Switzerland, and between 2006 and 2008, Claude regularly toured Europe with James. Today, James Williams continues to join Claude on various projects and, in 2024, was invited to record an album with Claude Diallo Situation and Bruno Spoerri. That same year, James also joined Claude for a live recording with Lizzie Thomas in Augsburg, which resulted in the album The Abraxas Sessions – Lizzie Thomas featuring Claude Diallo, Volume 3.
James Williams und Claude Diallo verbindet eine langjährige musikalische Freundschaft, die während ihrem gemeinsamen Studium am Berklee College of Music in Boston zwischen 2004 - 2006 entstand. Die Zusammenarbeit mit dem erfahrenen Schlagzeuger und Musiker hat Claude nachhaltig geprägt und ist ein wichtiger Teil seiner musikalischen Reise. Begonnen haben sie 2005 mit dem Claude Diallo Trio und dem Bassisten Luques Curtis, also vor der Gründung von Claude Diallo Situation. 2006 wurde eine Live-Aufnahme in St. Gallen unter dem Titel: Live in Switzerland veröffentlicht und zwischen 2006 und 2008 tourte Claude regelmässig mit James in Europa. Heute wirkt James Williams immer mal wieder bei Projekten mit Claude mit und war 2024 eingeladen, mit Claude Diallo Situation ein Album mit Bruno Spoerri aufzunehmen. Im gleichen Jahr wirkte James Williams mit Claude auch bei der Live-Aufnahme von Lizzie Thomas in Augsburg mit. Das Album: The Abraxas Sessions Lizzie Thomas featuring Claude Diallo Volume 3 entstand daraus.
