Claude Diallo will be Artist in Residence 2025 at KULTUR WORX
KULTUR WORX is pleased to announce internationally acclaimed jazz pianist Claude Diallo as Artist in Residence for 2025. Diallo, known for his captivating solo piano performances, will give a concert every fourth Tuesday of the month. The exact location will be announced shortly.
Claude Diallo, who has gained a wide audience through his OJK Jazz Jam Sessions and live streams during the pandemic, continues his successful projects from Appenzell and St. Gallen with this residency. The monthly concerts offer an intimate atmosphere that will captivate jazz lovers. Diallo will present both jazz standards and his own compositions, giving each concert a unique touch.
Diallo's career is shaped by his passion for jazz, inspired by greats such as Oscar Peterson, and his education at prestigious institutions such as the Berklee College of Music in Boston. With his trio, the Claude Diallo Situation, he has achieved worldwide recognition and released numerous albums. His music appeals to a cosmopolitan audience and connects people across cultural boundaries.
“Claude Diallo demonstrates a deep understanding of the jazz piano tradition while being remarkably original – a musician with a unique voice and sensibility,” says David Berkman, pianist and composer.
